Important update 25th Jan 2024: Bowtell’s Swing Bridge over Cox’s River is CLOSED due to safety concerns and will not be reopened until end of April 2024.

We built two bridges to allow our guests to cross the Coxs river with dry feet.

When coming from Katoomba, walk past the Swing Bridge along the Six Foot Track towards the Coxs River campground.  After about 500m, you will see a sign ”Alternative way to the Eco Lodge". Follow the black star pickets with white tops down to the river to the 1st bridge. After crossing, keep following the star pickets which will lead you to the 2nd bridge and straight onto our land. From there, just follow the track to the left for about 150 metres until you reach the Eco Lodge.

Please be careful when stepping on rocks - they are very slippery. We will constantly monitor the water levels and will provide updates to our guests. In case of heavy rains and water crossing not being safe, all bookings will be credited.

The Six Foot Track Eco Lodge is located on the Coxs River along the well-known historic Six Foot Track running between Katoomba and Jenolan Caves. Whether you are hiking & staying overnight, or planning a longer recreational getaway, the Six Foot Track Eco Lodge is sure to bring you to a a rough landscape with a pristine river, tall forest and diverse wild fauna and flora.

As an eco lodge, we are trying to operate in the most environmentally friendly way – we are off the grid, generating energy from solar panels, collecting rainwater for drinking & washing, using worm composting toilet and minimising waste through reuse & recycling.

The lodge provides accommodation for up to 28 guests in the two cabins. You can use the fully equipped outdoor kitchen or save the hassle of carrying and cooking food and order your meals with us. We are open on Friday and Saturday nights only. Please email us if you require a mid-week booking. For more information about our services and facilities go to our services page here:
